Users can be members of Applications, Organizations, and Groups. They must be a member of all levels above their lowest level. (e.g. A group member must also be a member of that group’s organization, and that organization’s application.) Their membership within each level can be assigned a role (or if no role is assigned, then they are a member with no access at that level).
