How To Create Storyboards Using Google Big Query

It’s easy to create great storyboards using your personal google big query data! On top of that, you can even mix other data sources into a single visual or storyboard.

Connect Your Account

It’s very easy to connect your google account to Nucleus. It requires 4 quick steps:

  1. In your Data Manager, choose “+ Add Data Source” and click on “Google Big Query.”
  2. Next input your “project id” and press the “connect to google bigquery” button
    1. The project id can be found when clicking the “select a project” button in the top left corner of the screen
  3. You’re then redirected to Google to sign in. Sign in as usual and allow Nucleus to access your Google Big Query data (don’t worry – we only use it to generate your storyboards!).
  4. Next, select the dataset you are looking for from the list of datasets.
  5. Lastly, find the correct table from the table name drop-down list.

After inputting the name for your new connection, finishing validating the preview and publish the dataset.

As a sign of success, you will now be redirected by to the data manager and should see a “Ready” status next to your new Google Big Query connection.

You’re now ready to create your very own custom storyboard!
