How To Create Storyboards Using MySQL

It’s easy to create great storyboards using your MySQL data! On top of that, you can even mix other data sources into a single visual or storyboard.

Connect Your Data

It’s very easy to connect your MySQL data to Nucleus. It requires only a few quick steps:

  1. In your Data Manager, choose “+ Add Data Source” and click on “MySQL”
  2. You then have the option to either import your data or query it directly. If you choose query directly, your data will remain where it is and Nucleus will simply query your database.
  3. You’re then prompted to enter the necessary connection information which includes: host, port, username, password, and database. Sign in as usual and allow Nucleus to access your  data (don’t worry – we only use it to generate your storyboards!).

As a sign of success, your account will now appear in your Data Manager main screen. You’re now ready to create your PostgreSQL storyboard!
